    What is CMS?

The Central Monitoring System (CMS) is the master unit of the system. It is in charge of collecting information gathered by the remote stations and of generating necessary action for any event detected. The CMS can have a single computer configuration or it can be networked to workstations to allow sharing of information from the system.

Access to the program is permitted only to qualified operators. Each user is given a password and a privilege level to access only particular areas of the program.. All actions taken by the users are logged on a file for later review.

HISCO¡¯s Central Monitoring System (CMS) brings multiple DVR systems together into an integrated interface, allowing the operator to manage up to 64 sites from one point of control.

The fundamental function of CMS is to attach video evidence with any alerts being sent to the CMS, which helps the remote-end operator to determine the nature of the alarm.
